Sarah Davies

En utrolig spændende mail

En utrolig interessant mail om Sarah DAVIES 1843 – 1877

I går fik jeg denne mail via min TNG-side:

Good afternoon, I was intrigued by your family story especially as I believe Sarah Davies b 1843 is my 2xgreat aunt. I have taken a DNA test to help with my family research but don’t think there are any living descendents from the relevant line (apart from my direct family) so unable to use this as proof. Would you be interested in me sharing more information? I would value your input as you are obviously more of an expert than I am! Hope to hear back from you.
Kind regards
Amanda Sale

Hi Amanda

Thank you very much for your interesting e-mail.

Sorry for my late reply, but I have just started working on a time consuming project: SEO, which stole some hours from my day.

I also had to read a little bit backwards about Sarah DAVIES, as it is many years since I worked with that part of my family. It dates back to 2009.

I am related to Sarah this way: “Hanne B. STEGEMÜLLER is the 2 x cousin 4 times removed of the husband of Sarah NISSEN (Born DAVIES)”  meaning not very close 😎 but it was great fun to work with a young genealogist, who was very creative. This is a graphical view of the relationship between Sarah and me.

I send you some images without watermarks that might be nice for you to have in your own database. The names on the files makes it easy to tell who is who. I have spend many hours renaming files…

If I can be of any help with for instance translating or something alike please tell me. I’ll be happy to assist.

Yes for sure: I would be really happy, if you will share some information. That would be great!

I have been thinking about DNA-test as well, but I think I am a very traditional genealogist and prefer data that I can find in parish registers, censuses and somewhere in the archives. I know that  this might be an old fashioned way of doing genealogy.

I hope to hear from you again.

Kind regards,
Hanne,

DNA-tests i slægtsforskningen
